Consultant-led urgent referral clinic – 10:00–12:00, Monday–Friday.

For urgent paediatric advice, phone hospital switchboard and ask for on-call paediatric consultant (available 24/7). In addition:​

  • St Mary's Paediatrics A&E – t: 020 3312 3771
  • Imperial College GP Advice Service – t: 020 3311 6224

Ask Paediatrics email service (askpaediatrics.whitthealth@nhs.net) enables GPs to discuss a clinical query with a Consultant Paediatrician. They aim to answer emails within three working days. Not for urgent clinical queries.


Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • All children aged 0 months–16 years with a new onset acute problem

Exclusions

Children with a chronic condition (please refer to Routine Paediatrics), a problem relating to an already diagnosed condition or a medical emergency.
