Due to the COVID-19 virus and under government guidance Camden has made a decision to close all Leisure Centres. For the safety of all concerned, new self-referrals into the Rebalance Adult Weight Management programme that meet the below criteria will have access to our social media Facebook page, Newsletter, Emails/Texts and can schedule regular contact with one of our Rebalance trained specialists.

Referral Criteria:

  • Resident of Camden or Islington and/or registered with a Camden or Islington GP
  • Express a willingness and motivation to change
  • Age 18 years and older
  • If your Body Mass Index is between 30 and 50, or between 27.5 and 50 if BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) group, and do not have any co-morbidities (i.e. a diagnosed health condition)
  • Not pregnant. Service user should only participate once they are cleared to exercise after their 6–8 week post-natal check-up

Once government guidance allows the re-opening of gym/leisure centres spaces, patients will also be contacted by one of our Rebalance/exercise referral specialists to gain further information regarding how they can access the full face-to-face 12-week programme. For more information about this programme, contact rebalance@camden.gov.uk
