Rapid assessment in TIA clinic. Run daily (7 days a week). Where TIA is plausible diagnosis, patients can be referred to outpatient investigations at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square (run every week).


How to Refer

Follow referral algorithm on referral form (see Downloads) or use Refer a Patient.

If patient currently symptomatic:

  • Call 999. Do not give aspirin.

If patient not currently symptomatic, but high-risk TIA:

  • Call HASCU SpR – t: 07753 739286

If patient not currently symptomatic, but low-risk TIA:

  • Complete referral form (see Downloads);
  • Patient to take form with them and arrive at 08:30.
