This page covers urgent referrals to see a specialist on the two-week pathway. Referrals can be made for the following suspected cancers:

  • brain & CNS
  • breast
  • children's
  • gynaecology
  • haematology
  • head and neck
  • lower GI
  • lung and pleura
  • ophthalmology
  • sarcoma
  • skin
  • upper GI
  • urology

How to refer

EMIS form

Referral methods: E-referral

Urgent referrals for suspected cancer should be sent using the Pan-London suspected cancer referral forms. Please check that you are using the correct version of the form on your EMIS system. 

Send by e-Referral, not fax or email. Book directly with the preferred hospital (not via CCAS).

When referring a patient

Please ensure they are aware of the urgency and reason for the referral and are available and willing to attend an appointment within two weeks
