Breathe is Camden & Islington’s stop-smoking service. It delivers a 3-tier model to ensure smokers receive the best support to help them stop smoking.

  • Tier 1 offers self-support through online and printed media to those smokers who want to quit without face-to-face support.
  • Tier 2 offers brief support through a network of specialist stop-smoking advisors, working in GP practices, pharmacies and other community groups and organisations.
  • Tier 3 offers specialist support to highly addicted smokers who can benefit from an intensive face-to-face intervention and long-term behavioural support.

Additional support is available for those who who want to quit with telephone support (with the provision for postal NRTs) are housebound and/or who may find it harder to quit, such as those with mental health problems.
