Fast assessment and diagnosis for patients with:

  • new or recent onset of exertional chest pain suggestive of ischaemic heart disease (IHD) or,
  • worsening symptoms in a patient with known IHD who is not under active follow-up by a cardiologist.

For patients with known IHD, send to a general cardiology clinic unless they have new or worsening symptoms.

Patients with suspected MI or acute coronary syndrome should go directly to A&E.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

For patients with:

  • new or recent onset of exertional chest pain suggestive of ischaemic heart disease (IHD) or,
  • worsening symptoms in a patient with known IHD who is not under active follow-up by a cardiologist.

How to Refer

Complete Imperial RACPC Referral Form (see Downloads), with full medical history/medication history. Prefer to receive by email than fax.
