Clinical management for patients with a diagnosis of personality disorder by the Personality Disorders community team (to improve daily functioning, including input for social care needs) and the therapies team, offering different interventions, such as:

  • dialectical behaviour therapy (reduce impulsive and self-destructive behaviours)
  • mentalisation based treatment (improving capacity to understand one's mind and minds of others) 
  • schema therapy (changing unhelpful blueprints developed during early life)

Eligibility criteria


  • Age 18–65
  • Meet diagnostic criteria for personality disorder
  • Have difficulties in daily functioning, emotional instability and difficulties in interpersonal relationships
