SafeFit is a free remote service for anyone in the UK with suspicion of or confirmed diagnosis of cancer. Cancer exercise specialists offer advice, support and resources to maintain and improve physical and mental well-being. This includes information about preparing for and going through cancer treatment during the COVID-19 crisis.

SafeFit provides patients with:

  • exercise advice based on their needs that can be done safely at home
  • help to find different and new ways to keep active and eat healthily
  • help to improve their overall well-being

The sessions will be delivered in one or more of the following ways:

  • individual telephone consultations
  • one-to-one and group video exercise sessions
  • group sessions

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • aged over 18 years old
  • willingness to commit some time to work with a cancer exercise specialist
  • willingness to commit to a number of sessions as agreed with cancer exercise specialist

How to refer

Self-referral
  1. Complete online self-referral form.
  2. Once its received, patient will receive a call-back within one week to discuss their needs.
  3. A cancer exercise specialist will be allocated to patient as soon as possible.
