Looked After Children Service – LAC

This is a statutory service, providing:

  • health assessments, immunisation updates and health care plans
  • health advisory service for professionals with looked-after children in their care, including liaison work and referrals
  • health promotion and advice for children and young people, training, audits, research, safeguarding
  • discussion of emotional health issues and sexual health issues, including teenage pregnancy

Inclusions

For children and young people in Camden in care or foster care.


How to Refer Self Referral

LAC teams based in Camden Children, Schools and Families division, Safeguarding and Social Care will refer children.

Self-referral by LAC is an option for specific health issues, or from foster carers for specific health issues.
