Grip Club Drugs

Support for patients dealing with the problems associated with club drugs. Services available include:

  • individual drug counselling
  • group work
  • specialist evening clinic
  • assessment and advice with mental health professionals
  • needle exchange
  • blood tests for HIV and Hepatitis
  • free vaccination for Hepatitis A and B
  • access to residential drug treatment
  • access to GBL support
  • peer support

The Grip Group service is also available every Wednesday, 18:00–19:30. Located at The Margarete Centre. Referral needed – GP or self-referral by emailing: grip@nhs.net.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

18+ residents of Camden and Islington who use club drugs, including:

  • Mephedrone
  • Methamphetamine
  • Crystal
  • GBL/GHB
  • Cocaine
  • Ketamine
  • Legal Highs
  • MDMA
  • Ecstasy
  • LSD
  • Steroids

For free, confidential advice and support in dealing with problems related to club drugs, patients can also attend the drop-in clinic which runs every Tuesday evening from 17:00–20:00. No appointment needed.
