Mind in Camden’s REST (Recovery Experience Sleeping Tablets and Tranquilisers) Service supports adults experiencing difficulties due to taking benzodiazepines, tranquilisers, sleeping pills or other 'Z' drugs

This service includes support for adults who are dependent on prescribed benzodiazepines/z drugs. Free and confidential services include:

  • Support group
  • Advocacy
  • Counselling
  • Monthly mindfulness session
  • Outreach
  • Liaison with prescribing services
  • Family support scheme

Eligibility criteria

Inclusions

  • Users of prescribed benzodiazepines/z drugs
  • Camden or Islington residents or those registered with a Camden or Islington GP
  • Existing, recovering, past and potential users
  • Carers, friends and relatives of users
  • People using minor tranquillisers illegally
  • People using minor tranquillisers in combination with other drugs
