The Camden CCG GPIT Service Desk team mission is to provide and support the information technology which is essential for GP Surgeries to run in an efficient and effective manner. The support we provide encompasses the following:
- Hardware – Servers, PC’s, Printers, Scanners, Multi-Function Devices
- Software – MS Windows, MS Office, MS Server, Emis Web, PCTI Docman, Tquest, iPlato
- Network – Switches, Internal Cabling, BT N3 Connection
- Email – NHS Mail

Camden CCG GPIT is constantly looking at ways to improve the IT infrastructure within your Practices. This page will be used to give you an overview of any current or upcoming projects, if you haven’t been contacted about any of the below you will be in the near future.
In order to improve the performance of your current IT systems, consolidate the number of onsite servers and provide additional capacity for future technologies, GPIT are in the process of upgrading all Emis and RDP Servers at your Surgeries. This upgrade is due to take place throughout 2015, if you would like further information please contact the Service Desk.
Network Switch Upgrades
Due to the fact that the majority of network switches at GP Practices are reaching their end of life and not suitable for handling the increasing traffic demands of a modern surgery network, GPIT are also going to be undertaking a switch upgrade project. The new devices are built specifically to manage your networks more efficiently. You will be contacted about this shortly.
In the second half of 2015 GPIT will be beginning a PC refresh project to upgrade any Dell Optiplex 790 PCs to the latest 7020 model. More details will follow nearer the time.
