In response to Camden’s commitment to deliver universal access to enhanced services for Camden patients, the 'Universal Offer' single contract for the delivery of general practice-based services for a range of conditions is in place from 1 April 2017.
It is expected to improve patient outcomes and experience, access and quality, and reduce pressure in secondary care (via reducing Accident & Emergency (A&E) attendance and admissions).
The clinical aspect of the Universal Offer has been led by Camden GPs, through working groups, with locality and London Medical Council (LMC) involvement.
To deliver a consistent, equitable and high-quality Primary Care Enhanced Service to the patients of Camden.
To improve patient access to a set of services that meet the needs of the local population, support the CCG’s strategic aim to deliver care as close to home as possible, and the primary care mandate through delivering universal coverage of locally commissioned services.
To improve the health outcomes of patients, reduce inequalities and ensure the most cost-effective use of resources.
