Overall aim

  • To increase awareness and knowledge of young people and pornography and to develop skills around how to discuss pornography with young people

Knowledge

  • Update and build knowledge of current research and statistics on young people and pornography
  • Increase knowledge of pornography and the law
  • Understand the impact and implications on young people watching pornography

Values

  • Clarify values and attitudes towards young people and pornography
  • Explore the reasons why we think young people watch pornography

Skills

  • Develop the skills to have balanced discussions with young people about pornography
  • Learn how to facilitate a range of activities to use with young people when talking about pornography
  • Learn how to help young people think critically if watching pornography (harm minimisation approach)
