The session covered some important areas around controlling the TB epidemic in London, recognising cases early in primary care, highlighting local services and how they integrate with primary care; and sharing the strategy and evolving pathway for new entrant screening in primary care
Common infectious conditions in the returning traveller and in migrants wa also covered; some important recent outbreaks that might be encountered in primary care; how to access our services for the returning traveller but also rapid access for any patient with suspected infection.
It was an interactive session, case- and problem-based, with contributions from our consultant and nursing staff.
