The Diabetes IPU Team has pledged to ensure staff in each care setting are appropriately trained to deliver best care for their range of responsibilities. The focus is to increase the confidence and competencies of diabetes management in primary care so that most patients can be successfully managed by primary-care teams. This is fundamental as diabetes prevalence rises and increasing numbers of people with more complex type-2 diabetes are repatriated into primary care.
The course is over three days: 18 April, 9 May and 20 June 2018. It is ideal for GPs and Practice Nurses who are directly involved in delivering diabetes care for their patients. View the flyer here.
Please note the Diabetes IPU are planning a basic diabetes, half-day course that will be open to all other clinicians. This will be available to book through the GP Website in due course.
To book a place for the three-day course, please email Diabetes CKD with your name, job title, place of your work and a confirmation that you are able to attend all three days.
